Spa sisters to hold charity Zumba event
4:40pm Wednesday 22nd February 2012

TWO sisters are set to return to Droitwich Spa High School to hold a charity event.
The Briar Mill school will donate the use of its sports hall for free so that former pupils Vicky Kean and Rhianna Williams, who left the school around 15 years ago, can run a ‘Zumbathon’ in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Vicky Kean and Rhianna Williams are both registered Zumba dance instructors in the town. They are both ex-professional dancers who used to travel the world working on board cruise ships, in casinos and theatres as cabaret dancers for over 10 years. Now they have returned home to Droitwich and want to give something back to the community.
Mrs Williams said: “By teaching Zumba we are sharing our passion for dance and fitness with others. We have chosen to support Birmingham Children’s Hospital because they do such a great job. We have close friends who have benefited from the hospital’s services. We also teach Zumba for children and will be doing some child participation on the day.”
The event at the school, which Rhianna and Vicky hope will raise over £500, will take place between 2 and 4pm on Saturday, March 10.
