Town's digital archive expanding to post-war period

2:50pm Wednesday 22nd February 2012

A DROITWICH Spa project that aims to chronicle wartime memories is expanding to the post-war period.

The town’s ‘Our War’ project now wants people to share their memories of the 1950s, especially the Queen’s coronation in 1952. It is hoped that recordings can be used to help mark her Diamond Jubilee later this year.

People who want to be part of the project can visit the first floor of Droitwich Library, Victoria Square, every Monday from 10am - 12.30pm or contact Eve Freer on 01905 770580.

A coffee morning will also be held at the library to promote the digital archive.

It will take place on Monday, March 27 from 10am to 12.30pm.
